MLB: Lee Hao-yu's 6th homer, double drive in all runs, but Tigers fall to Royals

Detroit Tigers' Taiwanese slugger Hao-Yu Lee continued his hot streak on Saturday, hitting his sixth home run of the season and a double against the Kansas City Royals. Despite his impressive performance, which included driving in both of his team's runs, the Tigers ultimately lost the game 2-3, ending their three-game winning streak.

Lee, who has earned the trust of the coaching staff and is seeing regular starts against right-handed pitchers, delivered a two-out double in the second inning, tying the game at 1-1. He then blasted a two-run homer in the fourth inning, giving the Tigers a 2-1 lead. The home run traveled 402 feet with an exit velocity of 102.7 mph.

Despite the loss, Lee's hitting streak reached 10 games, extending the longest consecutive hitting streak for a Taiwanese player in MLB history. He also recorded his eighth double of the season, tying him for second place among Taiwanese players. With six home runs, he is now just three shy of the Taiwanese record of nine, held by Chen Wei-Yin.
