Arizona Diamondbacks' Taiwanese-American star Corbin Carroll achieved a significant career milestone on August 13, 2026, hitting his 100th MLB home run. Carroll also recorded his 50th career triple in the same game, a feat that places him in elite company. According to MLB data expert Sarah Langs, Carroll is only the third player in baseball history to reach both 100 home runs and 50 triples before playing in 610 games. The other two players to achieve this remarkable distinction are Hall of Famers Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio. Carroll also became the fastest player to achieve 100 home runs, 100 stolen bases, and 50 triples. In the game against the Colorado Rockies, Carroll went 2-for-4 with a walk, scoring two runs and driving in one. His batting average rose to .243 with an OPS of .820. However, the Diamondbacks ultimately lost the game 6-4, with the Rockies securing the win thanks to home runs from Brett Sullivan and Zac Veen. The loss meant the Diamondbacks won only one game in the three-game series.
