MMA Fighter Choo Sung-hoon Dives into Tokyo Sewer to Rescue Lost AirPods

Mixed martial arts fighter and television personality Choo Sung-hoon demonstrated a commitment to not wasting valuables when he personally retrieved his lost AirPods from a sewer in Tokyo. The incident occurred after Choo visited a popular tonkatsu restaurant, recommended by K-pop star Jang Won-young.

While parking his motorcycle, Choo accidentally dropped one of his AirPods. To his dismay, the earbud fell into a nearby sewer grate. After checking the surroundings, he located the precise spot and proceeded to remove his motorcycle jacket before lying down on the ground.

With his face and arms reaching into the sewer, Choo painstakingly searched for the lost item. His efforts were captured on his personal YouTube channel, where viewers witnessed his determination. After some time, he successfully recovered the earbud from the grimy depths.

When asked by his production crew why he went to such lengths, especially as a successful individual, Choo explained that he couldn't simply abandon something he could see. He also cited the cost of replacement, noting that AirPods have become quite expensive, making it impractical for him to buy a new pair. Fortunately, the recovered AirPod was still functional after its unsavory ordeal.
