MMA Promoter Novotný: I Don't Know Anyone Who Sees It as Violence

Ondřej Novotný, a prominent figure in the Czech MMA scene and host of the reality show Survivor, has taken on a small acting role in the film Bojovník. In an interview with iDNES.cz, the 49-year-old promoter discussed his experience on set and shared his views on the sport of MMA.

Novotný strongly refutes the notion that fans are drawn to MMA events primarily for the violence. "I personally don't know anyone who watches MMA as violence," he stated, emphasizing that his perception is that fans engage with the sport for its competitive and athletic aspects. He believes the phenomenon of MMA is often misunderstood by those outside its dedicated following.

During the interview, Novotný also touched upon his foray into acting. While he has a minor role in the film, his primary focus remains on promoting the Oktagon MMA organization. He expressed his willingness to explore different facets of the entertainment industry but remains grounded in his commitment to the sport he champions.
