Mobile SIM Services Available at Three Jakarta Locations This Sunday

The Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya is offering mobile driving license (SIM) renewal services at three locations across Jakarta on Sunday, July 5, 2026. This service is available for individuals needing to extend their SIM A and SIM C validity without needing to visit a Satpas (Vehicle Registration and Identification Unit) office.

According to information from Polda Metro Jaya's official X account, @tmcpoldametro, the mobile SIM units will operate from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM Western Indonesia Time (WIB). The location at Istora Senayan will extend its service hours until 6:00 PM WIB.

The mobile SIM service is intended for the public who want to extend the validity period of SIM A and SIM C without having to come to the Satpas office.

The three designated locations for the mobile SIM service are: Jalan Raden Mas Intan, next to McDonald's Duren Sawit in East Jakarta; Jalan Panjang, beside Indomaret Kebon Jeruk in West Jakarta; and the Istora Senayan area, Jalan Pintu Satu Senayan, Gelora, Tanah Abang, in Central Jakarta.

Applicants are required to prepare several documents before visiting: a photocopy of a valid ID card (KTP), the original SIM whose validity has not yet expired, a health certificate, and proof of a psychological test obtained through the Simpol Pol application. It is important to note that the mobile SIM service only handles renewals for active SIM A and SIM C. If a SIM has expired, even by a single day, the owner must apply for a new one at a Satpas according to existing regulations. The cost for extending a SIM A is Rp80,000, and for a SIM C, it is Rp75,000, in addition to fees for health and psychological tests.

If the SIM's validity period has expired, even if only for one day, the owner is required to apply for a new SIM through Satpas in accordance with applicable regulations.
