Mohamed Salah agrees two-year Trabzonspor deal, reports claim

Former Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has reportedly agreed to a two-year contract with Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor, according to transfer news outlets. Salah has been a free agent since his departure from Liverpool earlier this summer, concluding a nine-year tenure where he became one of the Premier League's most celebrated players.

Reports from Turkish transfer journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, cited by FootballTransfers, indicate that Salah has agreed to personal terms with Trabzonspor. However, the deal is not yet finalized, with one contractual clause requiring approval before the transfer can be officially announced. The 34-year-old Egyptian star had previously been linked with moves to the Saudi Pro League and MLS clubs San Diego and Sporting Kansas City.

Despite interest from other leagues, recent reports suggest Salah's preference is to continue playing in European football. Trabzonspor, who finished third in the Turkish Super Lig last season, is actively participating in the transfer market and is preparing for their UEFA Europa League playoff later this month.

However, uncertainty surrounds the potential transfer. Just days prior, Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan denied reports that the club had already reached an agreement with Salah. Reports indicate that three clubs from two different countries are still awaiting his final decision.
