Mohamed Salah transfers to Turkey's Super Lig with Trabzonspor

Football sensation Mohamed Salah is set to join Turkish club Trabzonspor, marking a significant move in his career after his departure from Liverpool. The transfer was widely reported late Tuesday by several local media outlets and top football transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.

Trabzonspor fueled speculation by posting an AI-generated video on X featuring a pyramid, a symbolic nod to the Egyptian star. Salah's contract with the club is reportedly for two years. Turkish media outlets estimate his annual salary at 17 million euros, with an additional 5 million euro signing bonus and a share of jersey sales.

Salah is currently vacationing in Greece and is scheduled to fly to Turkey on Wednesday to sign the contract. Earlier reports had linked him with a move to Istanbul club Beşiktaş, but that transfer ultimately did not materialize.

Salah's departure from Liverpool followed the end of his contract in the summer. He spent nine seasons with the English Premier League club, becoming their third-highest all-time scorer with 257 goals. During his tenure at Liverpool, Salah achieved considerable success, including two Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy.
