Moniepoint, S.A.N.G tackle period poverty, empower 500 Lagos schoolgirls

Moniepoint Inc. has joined forces with Sanitary Aid for Nigerian Girls (S.A.N.G) in a significant initiative to combat period poverty and promote financial inclusion among young women in Lagos. The partnership focuses on empowering 500 students with essential menstrual hygiene resources and vital financial literacy education.

This collaboration aims to tackle the challenges faced by girls who lack access to proper menstrual products, a situation that can hinder their education and overall well-being. By providing support and knowledge, the program seeks to ensure that these students can manage their hygiene effectively and gain confidence in their financial futures.

The initiative is being rolled out in commemoration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026. Volunteers from Moniepoint and specialized facilitators are involved in delivering the program's components, highlighting a community-driven effort to make a tangible difference in the lives of these young girls.
