Monti challenges Vannacci over adviser’s call for vaccinated people to be castrated

Mario Monti confronted Roberto Vannacci at the Teha Forum in Cernobbio over the views of Lorenzo Gasperini, whom Monti described as the ideologue behind Vannacci’s program.

The post said that a healthy young person who received a vaccine showed weakness, fear of death, credulity, intellectual infirmity, obedience to the first politician who came along and “a psychology of a servant.” It argued that these traits should lead, at minimum, to exclusion from sexual life as a natural counterweight.

Monti said the passage raised both a technical and a political question. In an openly provocative formulation, he asked whether the proposed sanction meant immediate castration, which he called the structural solution, or an electronic bracelet placed somewhere other than the wrist or ankle.
