Montreal police release suspect photos in attempted murder investigation

Montreal police have released images of a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted murder that took place in May. Authorities are appealing to the public for help in identifying the individual involved in the violent incident.

The assault occurred on the evening of May 18 in the Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough. Police responded to a 911 call reporting a person injured by a sharp object. Upon arrival at the intersection of Élie-Beauregard Avenue and Perras Boulevard, officers found a 49-year-old man conscious but suffering from injuries to his upper and lower body. He was subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment.

The exact circumstances leading to the armed assault remain unclear. Investigators have described the suspect as being between six feet and six feet five inches tall, with dark, shoulder-length hair styled in dreadlocks. At the time of the incident, the suspect was reportedly wearing a black sweatshirt, black jogging pants, and white shoes.
