Morawiecki: Poland must forge new paths as world faces upheaval

Former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki called for national ambition and courage, stating that Poland must forge new paths as the world undergoes profound, destabilizing changes. Addressing attendees at an event, Morawiecki expressed gratitude and pride in seeing people driven by ambition to advance the homeland.

Morawiecki defined ambition not as timidity but as rebellion, risk-taking, and venturing onto unknown paths. "Whether we want it or not, Poland must enter new paths. Because this world we knew is becoming a thing of the past. And either we will find a way, or we must chart it ourselves. This path to the future... a wonderful future," he told the audience.

He also reflected on Poland's historical successes, asserting that the nation was strongest when it was courageous. Morawiecki cited historical examples like the courage shown at Grunwald, by Copernicus, at Vienna, and by the Solidarity movement. "Only then, despite our shortcomings, despite our deficits, were we able to truly reach for the stars," he concluded, urging the attendees to embody this spirit of bravery.
