More than 1,000 artists and KOLs gather at KOL Summit 2026

More than 1,000 artists, content creators, technology experts and government representatives gathered in Ho Chi Minh City for KOL Summit 2026, the second national conference devoted to key opinion leaders. Held at the Thiskyhall Sala Convention Center, the event adopted the theme “KOLs and the journey of building digital trust.”

The summit focused on a growing tension in Vietnam’s online sphere: people with the power to reach millions are also being asked to carry greater social responsibility and protect sustainable cultural values. A short video or social media post can quickly influence public attitudes, lifestyles and views, especially among young people.

Organizers said that influence brings serious risks, including misinformation, unchecked advertising and fake content created through artificial intelligence and deepfake technology. The event was intended to help redefine the role of those who shape public opinion online. Attendees included artists and creators such as rapper Đen Vâu, Ngô Kiến Huy, H'Hen Niê, Song Luân, Diệp Lâm Anh, Thiều Bảo Trâm, Phương Thanh, OnlyC, Juki San, Lâm Thanh Nhã, Diệp Bảo Ngọc and MC Khánh Vy.

The Digital Trust Alliance led the event under the sponsorship of Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security. It co-organized the summit with the ministry’s A05 cybersecurity and high-tech crime department, the National Cybersecurity Association and VCCorp.

The alliance was established after the first national KOL conference, held in Hanoi on Aug. 18, 2025. A05 representatives said it had 125 official members by June 30, including 51 major technology organizations and businesses and 74 influential individuals. During the first six months of 2026, 274 organizations and individuals submitted applications to join. The alliance aims to establish digital-trust clubs in all 34 provinces and cities and connect about 1,000 active members nationwide.
