More than 1,000 displaced students in Bunia face shortages of water and Ebola prevention equipment

Saint-Luc School at the Kigonze displaced-persons site in Bunia is accommodating 1,100 students this year, more than three times its intended capacity.

The overcrowding has been compounded by shortages of water and equipment used to prevent Ebola. Those conditions have raised concern about the risk that the disease could spread among students and displaced people at the site.
