More Than 300 Vulnerable Children Receive School Kits in Kinshasa’s Kimbanseke

More than 300 children in Kinshasa’s Kimbanseke commune received complete school kits just before the start of the 2026-27 academic year. The Aug. 29 distribution targeted children from disadvantaged families.

The initiative, called “School Return for All,” seeks to help children from poor households resume classes with the supplies they need and with dignity. The GRAME Foundation provided backpacks, uniforms, sports shoes, notebooks, pens, colored pencils, slates and other essential materials.

Kimbanseke faces intense demographic pressure and high poverty, leaving many households in extreme hardship despite the commune’s proximity to Kinshasa’s city-province. The foundation presented the donation as a response to those social and economic challenges.

Julie Nsuele, the foundation’s promoter, thanked the contributors who made the operation possible and reaffirmed the organization’s focus on education. Parents of the children who received the kits welcomed the assistance and called on other well-wishers to follow the example.
