More than 75,000 apply to serve as Saudi Hajj staff, prompting two-round computer test

More than 75,000 people have applied to become Indonesian personnel serving pilgrims during the 1448 H/2027 Hajj season, leading the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to divide its computer-based selection test into two rounds.

The ministry said the arrangement would allow administrative verification to continue carefully while eligible applicants within the quota proceed to the Computer Assisted Test, or CAT. The high number of applicants prompted the change in scheduling.

Puji stressed that the schedule would not alter the selection standards. Every applicant must still satisfy the requirements and fall within the 3N quota to take the CAT. “No standards have been lowered. Every applicant still goes through the same process and requirements. What we are ensuring is that all stages run in an orderly, careful and fair manner,” he said.
