The party issued a statement Monday urging Mexicans to "close ranks" with Sheinbaum, framing her leadership as a defense of the "pact of trust" with the people. Morena asserted that supporting the president means defending the popular mandate against those who have lost the people's confidence.

The party specifically rebuked the opposition National Action Party (PAN) for demanding investigations into Andrés Manuel López Beltrán, often referred to as "Andy." The PAN has claimed to possess evidence linking López Beltrán to alleged involvement in hydrocarbon trafficking networks. Morena accused the "mafia of power," referring to the opposition, of celebrating foreign pressure on Mexico, believing it could yield political advantages.

Morena's statement suggests the opposition seeks to regain power through external influence rather than electoral support. The party contends that the opposition, unable to secure public trust, is looking abroad for strength. By portraying foreign pressure as a defeat for the current administration and a victory for themselves, the opposition aims to restore a "regime of corruption, privileges, and business" under government protection, according to Morena.
