Moroccan Youth Group Praises Government Reforms and Territorial Gains

The National Federation of Youth of the Gathering (Shabiba Al-Ahrar) expressed high praise for the government's accomplishments, particularly in advancing the territorial unity issue and implementing social and economic reforms. In a statement following their sixth session in Agadir, the group lauded the "positive developments" concerning Morocco's territorial integrity, citing UN Security Council Resolution 2797 as a confirmation of the autonomy initiative.

Shabiba Al-Ahrar also commended Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch's comprehensive reforms over the past years. The statement highlighted the government's "effective contribution to the social transition process" and its "major social projects." The youth group specifically applauded the government's "courageous" decision to revert to standard time, ending daylight saving, calling it a "true response to the demands of citizens."

Further emphasizing their satisfaction, the participants expressed pride in the government's achievements in education and training, noting improvements in learning levels within Moroccan schools. They also recognized efforts in the health and social protection sectors, aimed at establishing territorial health groups for comprehensive health coverage. Economically, the federation acknowledged government measures to counter the effects of the current economic climate and advance strategic projects related to water, food, and energy sovereignty, alongside efforts to attract investments and create jobs.

On a party level, the federation reaffirmed its pride in the "Future Path" led by the party leader, Mohammed Chouki. They pledged their "unconditional commitment" to his communication initiatives and fully adopted the "Ahrar Program," a participatory and field-based approach launched in the Fez-Meknes region. This program aims to enhance trust in political action and establish a "new contract linking commitments to achievements." The sixth session, held under the theme "Future Path: Youth Commitment for a Morocco of Social Transition," was attended by over 3,500 young people from across the kingdom, along with guests and representatives from partner Moroccan youth organizations.
