Morocco's men's beach volleyball team wins Arab Championship

Morocco's men's beach volleyball team, represented by the duo of Gharouti and Walid, clinched the 31st Arab Championship title in M'diq. The victory came after a hard-fought final against Bahrain's team, Jish/Nasser, which concluded with a score of two sets to one.

The Moroccan pair lost the first set 20-22 but demonstrated resilience by winning the subsequent two sets 21-16 and 15-10. This win allows Morocco to retain the championship title on home soil, in front of their supporters.

This achievement is a culmination of a strong performance throughout the tournament, reinforcing Morocco's standing among leading Arab nations in beach volleyball. In the semi-finals, the Moroccan team had previously overcome the Egyptian duo of George/Paolo. The Egyptian pair ultimately finished fourth after losing the third-place match to another Moroccan team, Karraoui/El Azhari.

In the women's competition, Egypt's Doaa Elghobashy and Marwa Magdy secured the 21st Arab Championship title. They defeated Morocco's Iman Yaqouti and Nora Derghal in straight sets, 21-18 and 21-11. Another Moroccan pair, Dina and Alexandra Erhart, took third place after winning their classification match against an Egyptian opponent in two sets.
