Morocco to host 17th International Al-Jadida Horse Show under 'The Horse in Service of Humanity' theme

The city of El Jadida, Morocco, will host the 17th edition of the International Al-Jadida Horse Show from October 13 to 18, 2026. Under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, the event will take place at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Center, with the theme "The Horse in Service of Humanity."

Organized by the Moroccan Association for the Promotion of the Horse, this edition aims to further solidify the show's status as a benchmark event in the equestrian sector, both nationally and internationally. Since its inception in 2008, the show has seen continuous development in its infrastructure, organization, and hospitality, expanding its reach among professional, cultural, and sporting circles connected to the world of horses.

The show serves as a platform for breeders, riders, artisans, researchers, institutions, and the public to connect, valuing the national equestrian sector and supporting its diverse components. The chosen theme emphasizes the historical human-horse relationship, highlighting the horse as a partner in work, a symbol of heritage, and a driver of sports, culture, and entertainment. It also underscores human responsibility in ensuring the horse's dignity, well-being, and proper treatment.

This edition will see an upgrade in international competitions. The "Royal Grand Prix of Show Jumping" will be elevated to a five-star classification (CSI5*-W), qualifying for the World Cup. Another international competition will move from one-star (CSI1*) to two-star (CSI2*) status. These advancements aim to enhance the show's standing in the international equestrian calendar, showcasing Moroccan expertise and providing a more competitive environment for local riders. The event will also feature the "Royal Grand Prix of Tbourida," a traditional Moroccan equestrian performance, alongside competitions celebrating purebred breeds like the Barb, Arab-Barb, and Arabian horses.
