Morocco weather forecast: Hot conditions expected with scattered thunderstorms

Morocco is bracing for a hot Saturday, with the General Directorate of Meteorology forecasting high temperatures across the eastern region, the Moulouya Valley, Saïs, inland Gharb, Tadla plains, and the southeastern parts of the country, as well as eastern and southern Saharan provinces. Temperatures in these areas could reach as high as 30 degrees Celsius.

Low-lying clouds accompanied by fog are expected along the Atlantic coasts, the Saïs region, inland Souss, and the northwestern Saharan provinces. Meanwhile, unstable weather conditions, including thunderstorms, are anticipated in the eastern region and the Middle and High Atlas mountains. These areas may experience scattered rain showers.

Moderate to strong winds are predicted along the central coasts and Saharan provinces, potentially leading to localized dust. Temperatures are expected to see a slight decrease in most parts of the kingdom during the daytime. Sea conditions will be calm to slightly rough along the Mediterranean coast and the Strait of Gibraltar, and slightly rough to rough along the Atlantic coast.
