Morocco weather forecast: Hot in the south, thunderstorms expected in Atlas Mountains

Morocco is bracing for a day of varied weather conditions, with the General Directorate of Meteorology predicting hot temperatures across several regions. The southeastern parts of the country and the southern desert areas are expected to experience the most intense heat.

Relatively warm weather will also prevail in other areas, including Oued Mellouya, the eastern regions, the Sais plain, the interior of the Gharb region, and the Tadla plains. These forecasts indicate a generally warm day across much of the kingdom.

However, the mountainous regions are set for a different experience. Thunderstorms are anticipated in the Atlas Mountains and the adjacent western plains. These storms may bring rain and could include hail, offering a contrast to the warmer conditions elsewhere. Residents in these mountainous areas should be prepared for potential downpours and stormy weather.
