Moscow Mayor Calls Restaurant Bombing a 'Brutal Terrorist Act'

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has condemned the bombing that occurred at a restaurant in the capital on Saturday evening, labeling it a "brutal terrorist act." The attack resulted in fatalities and injuries, with victims currently receiving medical care in city hospitals.

According to Russian state media citing local officials, the explosion claimed the lives of a security guard and a guest, in addition to the woman identified as the bomber. The National Anti-Terrorism Committee reported that at least 21 individuals sustained wounds when the explosive device detonated at the restaurant on Kudrinskaya Square in central Moscow.

As of Sunday afternoon, the Moscow Investigative Committee stated that the attack was still under investigation. Russian authorities have not yet released further details, and no individual or group has publicly claimed responsibility for the bombing. The investigation is ongoing to determine the perpetrators and motives behind the incident.
