A bitter inheritance dispute has erupted in Adana, Turkey, involving a 95-year-old woman, her daughter, and her granddaughter. Türkan İşbilir, the elderly matriarch, alleges that her granddaughter, G.K., manipulated her into selling a valuable plot of land in Şambayadı Mahallesi.

According to the report, G.K. initially proposed selling the land to a contractor in exchange for 10 apartments. When İşbilir refused, G.K. allegedly returned, persuaded her grandmother to agree to the sale, and first took her to a hospital for a mental health assessment before proceeding to the land registry. İşbilir's daughter, Elmas Erdem, was reportedly present during the land sale.

Instead of apartments, the land was sold to an individual named İ.Ö. for 17 million Turkish Lira. İşbilir questioned the cash payment, but her granddaughter allegedly claimed the apartment deal was canceled and took the money. G.K. then reportedly seized İşbilir's bank card and activated mobile banking on her own phone, spending approximately 13 million Lira on various purchases within 20 days.

Following the incident, İşbilir's grandchildren, Cemile and Cengiz Akkanat, intervened. They hired a lawyer and filed a criminal complaint against Elmas Erdem and G.K. A court has placed a freeze on İşbilir's bank account. Elmas Erdem has denied involvement, stating her niece deceived both her and her mother. She later visited her mother, apologized, and claimed innocence. İşbilir has reportedly forgiven her daughter but remains adamant that her granddaughter defrauded her.
