Man pushed into river while on phone in Turkey; bystanders intervene

A man was pushed into the Porsuk River in Eskişehir, Turkey, while he was on the phone, with bystanders intervening to rescue him. The incident occurred near Kafadar Street in the Deliklitaş neighborhood.

Murat K., who was reportedly working at a nearby parking lot, pushed Okan K. into the river. Witnesses who saw the event immediately jumped into the water to save Okan K. and brought him to shore. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene.

Okan K., who was semi-conscious after the rescue, received initial medical attention and was transported to Eskişehir Yunus Emre State Hospital. His condition is reported to be stable. Murat K. was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.

Miralay Özcan, who was at a business near the incident, stated that the suspect had been causing disturbances throughout the day. Özcan claimed to have warned Murat K. multiple times about his behavior, which included aggression towards passersby and families. Özcan reported hearing the suspect shout, "I'm throwing you into the water for you!" during the incident.

Another local resident, Özlem Polat, corroborated that the suspect had been bothering people in the area for some time. She mentioned that he had allegedly assaulted a friend a few days prior. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
