Mother and Daughter Found Dead in Their Antalya Home

An elderly mother and her daughter were discovered deceased in their apartment in the Muratpaşa district of Antalya, Turkey. Relatives became concerned after not hearing from Ayten Harputlugil and her daughter Nilgün Harputlugil for approximately 10 days.

When repeated attempts to contact them failed, relatives visited the apartment in the Yeşilbahçe neighborhood. Finding the door locked and unable to gain entry, they contacted the 112 Emergency Call Center. Police, fire department, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

Emergency personnel gained access to the fifth-floor apartment with the help of a locksmith. Inside, they found both Ayten and Nilgün Harputlugil lying motionless in their beds in separate rooms. Medical teams examined the scene and confirmed that both women had passed away.

Following initial on-site investigations, the bodies were transported to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death for both the mother and daughter. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding their deaths is ongoing.
