Mother Suffers Brain Hemorrhage While Searching for Missing Son in Turkey

In Kocaeli, Turkey, a mother's desperate search for her missing son has taken a tragic turn. Canan Yılmaz suffered a brain hemorrhage and is now in intensive care, her condition worsening as the search for her son, Mehmet Yılmaz, continues without success.

Mehmet Yılmaz, 17, vanished on August 17 after leaving his home in Kocaeli, where he was visiting family. His disappearance prompted a large-scale search operation involving police, gendarmerie, and AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority). Despite seven days of searching, including reviewing security camera footage showing him walking on a road near Ağıllı village, authorities have found no clues to his whereabouts.

The emotional toll on the family is immense. Canan Yılmaz collapsed during the search efforts on August 20 and was rushed to Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi. Doctors diagnosed her with a brain hemorrhage, and she has been in the intensive care unit for three days. Her father, Ahmet Dinç, has made a public plea for help, appealing to the state for assistance as the family faces this dual crisis of a missing son and a critically ill mother.
