Motive sought after fatal stabbing at German bank branch

Authorities are working to uncover the motive behind a fatal stabbing that occurred at a bank branch in Regensburg, Germany, leaving one employee dead. The 20-year-old suspect, apprehended by special forces approximately three hours after the attack, is currently in custody.

Details surrounding the bloody incident remain unclear, with police stating that verifying the exact sequence of events and conducting interviews are time-consuming processes. The suspect faces charges of homicide and robbery. He was taken into custody without resistance and appeared unharmed.

The attack took place on Thursday afternoon when a bank employee was fatally wounded by a knife. Emergency services provided initial medical care before the victim was transported to a clinic, where they later died. The bank involved was a branch of HypoVereinsbank (HVB).
