Motorcycle convoy discovers kampung charm at Kopi Village 24 in Janda Baik

A recent motorcycle convoy led by Alfian, a friend from BMW Motorrad Ara Damansara, took a refreshing detour to Kampung Janda Baik in Bentong, Pahang. While the destination, located about 45 kilometers from Ampang, Selangor, is a familiar one, this particular visit to Kopi Village 24 offered a distinct experience.

As the journey progressed from the bustling Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway into the heart of Hulu Chemperuh, the atmosphere shifted dramatically. The urban noise faded, replaced by a profound sense of calm that felt like stepping back in time. This is the "vibe positif" that Kopi Village 24 aims to deliver, mirroring its Gombak counterpart by choosing a location embraced by nature.

Muhammad Ammarul Aufa, the Operations Manager, explained that the cafe's location was inspired by his mother's love for natural environments near the forest. "Since opening almost a year ago, this cafe has been frequently visited by motorcycle groups on weekends, as well as families," he told Mingguan Malaysia.

The menu offers a delightful mix of local and Western flavors. The English breakfast and coconut crepes with sambal bilis were particularly praised, as was the roti jala with chicken curry. Ammarul shared that these dishes are prepared using family recipes passed down from his mother's side, who inherited them from her mother's food stall in Thailand, explaining the unique taste.

Beyond breakfast, Kopi Village 24 also serves lunch, featuring dishes like asam pedas (spicy fish stew) with various protein options, chicken chop, and Western favorites such as spaghetti bolognese and burgers. Popular drinks include buttercream latte, caramel macchiato, and sparkling strawberry.
