Motorcycle Gang Member Arrested for Drug Dealing in Bandung, Hundreds of Grams of Meth Seized

Police in West Bandung, Indonesia, have arrested a 36-year-old man, identified as AA alias Asmara, for allegedly distributing methamphetamine. The suspect, who police say has been a member of a Bandung motorcycle gang for a decade, was apprehended in Lembang District with 35.45 grams of crystal meth.

We have arrested a motorcycle gang member with the initials AA. The evidence secured amounts to 35.45 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

Authorities revealed that Asmara obtained the drugs from an individual known as OOK alias Klontong, who is currently being sought by police. Asmara allegedly divided the methamphetamine into various package sizes for distribution via a "drop and collect" system in the Jalan Setiabudi area of Bandung, following Klontong's instructions.

According to Wakapolres Cimahi, Kompol Zulkarnaen, Asmara had received methamphetamine from Klontong five times over two months, with quantities of 30 grams and 20 grams each time. The suspect earned between Rp 2,000,000 and Rp 3,000,000 for each successful distribution, and also received some drugs for free. In total, Asmara is believed to have distributed approximately 151.15 grams of methamphetamine.

The person concerned used the drop system and distributed in various places, including the Bandung area. So the goods were entrusted by the perpetrator who is currently being pursued.

Asmara faces charges under Article 114 of Indonesian Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics and/or Article 610 of Law No. 1 of 2026. He could receive a prison sentence ranging from a minimum of 5 years to a maximum of 20 years.

In addition, the suspect also received crystal methamphetamine for free. So the total evidence that has been distributed is around 151.15 grams.
