Motorcyclist dies after colliding with truck on PY02; was part of a motorcycle caravan

A tragic accident on Route PY02 in Ypacaraí, Paraguay, claimed the life of a motorcyclist participating in a caravan on Sunday morning. The victim, identified as 48-year-old Jorge Emerson Daniel Bogarín Ojeda from Asunción, was riding a 2021 BMW motorcycle when the collision occurred.

The accident happened at kilometer 44 in the Pedrozo district. Bogarín Ojeda's motorcycle violently collided with a large Mercedes-Benz truck driven by 60-year-old Silvino Espínola Benítez of San Juan Nepomuceno. The impact was severe, resulting in the motorcyclist's death at the scene.

The truck driver is currently in the custody of authorities. Police secured the area and notified the Public Ministry, the forensic doctor, and criminalistics personnel to conduct the necessary procedures. The exact circumstances leading to the crash are under investigation.
