Motorola Tests the Razr Fold, a Foldable Aimed at Competing with Samsung's Best

Motorola is entering the competitive foldable smartphone market with its new Razr Fold, directly challenging Samsung's established Galaxy Z Fold. The device aims to capture users seeking the functionality of a tablet within a pocket-sized form factor.

The Razr Fold presents a dual-screen experience: a 6.6-inch external display for traditional smartphone use and an 8.1-inch internal foldable screen that transforms the device into a near-square tablet. While the phone is priced at 3.5 million pesos (with a special edition costing 4 million pesos), Motorola positions it for users who frequently work on the go and can leverage the expanded screen real estate.

Under the hood, the Razr Fold is equipped with top-tier hardware. It features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5B processor, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage, ensuring smooth performance even with multitasking. The device is powered by a substantial 6000 mAh battery, offering extended usage, and includes a versatile 50-megapixel triple camera system, recognized by Dxomark for its quality.

The phone's hinge mechanism is designed for durability, allowing the 8.1-inch internal screen to be opened and held in multiple positions. Both the internal and external displays offer high brightness levels, ensuring usability in direct sunlight. The Razr Fold supports 80-watt wired and 50-watt wireless fast charging, with the charger included in the box.
