Mount Zion loses another 'Abattoir' actor, Oyeyemi

The Nigerian Christian film industry is mourning the loss of Oluwasegun Oyeyemi, an actor widely recognized for his role as Flora’s husband in the popular Mount Zion film series, 'Abattoir.' Oyeyemi's passing was announced by the Bowen University Alumni Association, which remembered him as a cherished alumnus and drama minister whose life significantly impacted many.

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing and burial of one of our esteemed alumni, Mr. Omooba Oluwasegun Oyeyemi, Gomobzzzz, a proud member of the Viable Set and BBSF Drama Unit, who recently went to be with the Lord.

While the specific cause of Oyeyemi's death remains undisclosed, the alumni association shared the news with profound sadness, noting his recent passing and burial. They have called for prayers for his bereaved family, asking for strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time. Alumni in Ibadan and surrounding areas were encouraged to attend the burial service to pay their final respects.

Oyeyemi was a prominent figure in several Mount Zion Faith Ministries productions, including 'Fiwajomi,' 'Seyifunmi,' 'Olukoya,' and 'Finding Grace.' He was known for portraying faith-driven characters and utilizing drama for evangelism. His death adds to a series of losses for the 'Abattoir' family, following the passing of actress Toluwalope Adegboyega-Alagbe earlier in the year due to complications from a road crash. Her death also tragically claimed one of her twin daughters.
