MUIP considers Perkeso contributions for Asnaf Brigade

The Majlis Ugama Islam dan Adat Resam Melayu Pahang (MUIP) is evaluating a proposal to provide social security contributions through the Social Security Organization (Perkeso) to members of its Asnaf Brigade. This initiative is being considered as a gesture of appreciation for the brigade's crucial role in identifying and maintaining up-to-date records of the poor and destitute within the state of Pahang.

Datuk Dr. Asmadi Abdul Rahman, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Operations and Baitulmal) of MUIP, stated that the proposal's implementation would depend on a thorough review of the Asnaf Brigade members' performance and their overall contributions. He emphasized that the Asnaf Brigade serves as MUIP's vital "eyes and ears" at the grassroots level, playing a significant part in identifying eligible recipients for aid and ensuring the accuracy of data concerning the poor.

He made these remarks following the closing ceremony of a briefing program on MUIP's services and aid distribution schemes, attended by District Administrators and Village Security and Development Committee (JPKK) Chairmen from the Kuantan District.

Furthermore, MUIP plans to consider the feedback and suggestions from Asnaf Brigade members to enhance their skills and improve their services. This includes looking into skill development and service enhancements, with potential benchmarking visits to specific areas to observe ongoing activities. The council aims to continuously strengthen the capabilities and effectiveness of the Asnaf Brigade in their mission to serve the community.
