Muktamar: Seat negotiations will test Muslim unity

PAS’s push to strengthen Muslim unity will face its real test when the party begins negotiating seats for Malaysia’s 16th General Election, Deputy President Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said.

He said party members would need to stand behind decisions reached unanimously when that stage arrived. He urged them to remain guided by wala’, thiqah and obedience to the leadership.

The remarks were made in Kota Bharu in connection with the party’s muktamar. They placed the coming seat negotiations at the center of PAS’s effort to turn its unity agenda into a collective political decision.
