Multiple Collisions After Risky Overtake Leave Three Injured in Germany

A risky overtaking maneuver by an 18-year-old driver in Weißenhorn, Neu-Ulm district, resulted in two separate collisions and three injuries. The driver attempted to overtake a vehicle on a straight road, disregarding oncoming traffic. The first oncoming vehicle managed to swerve right, narrowly avoiding a head-on collision. However, the 18-year-old lost control of his car, leading to a head-on collision with two more oncoming vehicles. The impact was so severe that one of the vehicles was thrown onto its side, while another veered off the road into a grain field. The offending driver's car then collided with a fourth vehicle, which remained stationary on the road.

Emergency services transported three individuals to hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to moderate. The accident caused an estimated 100,000 euros in property damage. Police have initiated an investigation against the 18-year-old driver responsible for the incident.
