Mumbai Weather: Rain Lashes City, SpiceJet Issues Flight Advisory

Mumbai experienced scattered rainfall on Tuesday morning, with some parts of the city receiving light showers while others remained overcast. The weather has prompted SpiceJet to issue an advisory to its passengers, warning of potential impacts on flight schedules.

The airline advised travelers flying to or from Mumbai to check their flight status on its official platform for the latest information. The advisory noted that departures, arrivals, and consequential flights might be affected due to the adverse weather conditions in Mumbai.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast indicates generally cloudy skies with light to moderate rain expected over the next week. Specific areas like Santacruz, Colaba, Borivali, Powai, Chembur, Mulund, and Worli are anticipated to receive light showers, while Navi Mumbai may experience moderate rain.

This rainfall follows recent heavy spells in Mumbai that have previously disrupted air traffic and affected airport operations, leading to delays and diversions. Monsoon rains have also caused waterlogging and impacted road and other transport services across the city.
