Murat Ağırel responds to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's 'one-sided media' remarks: 'We invited him, he gave a negative answer'

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, recently appointed as the interim leader of the CHP party, faced criticism regarding his remarks about media bias during the holiday period. Kılıçdaroğlu stated that he was well aware of the media's one-sided reporting and asserted that media outlets should present information fairly to the public.

I know very well that the media is broadcasting one-sidedly. The media should give the correct information to the public. If it consults that side, it should also consult this side.

In response to Kılıçdaroğlu's comments, journalist Murat Ağırel addressed the issue on social media. Ağırel revealed that Kılıçdaroğlu had been invited to participate in the program "Tatava Yok" on the YouTube channel Onlar TV, hosted by Şule Aydın. However, Kılıçdaroğlu's team reportedly provided a negative response to this invitation.

Ağırel further commented on the media landscape, suggesting that TGRT television is being utilized in a manner akin to a press release distribution service. He noted that attempts to reach Kılıçdaroğlu's press advisor were largely unsuccessful. According to Ağırel, apart from one accompanying member of parliament, there was no follow-up from Kılıçdaroğlu's side after the invitation was extended. This lack of engagement, Ağırel implied, complicates Kılıçdaroğlu's subsequent complaints about biased media coverage.
