Muscat Governorate reviews electronic document and records management system

Muscat Governorate held a workshop with the National Records and Archives Authority to present the ninth and tenth enhancements to the Wosool electronic document and records management system.

The upgrades simplify electronic signatures and allow users to customise settings including job role, language, display name, font type and signature image. A direct preview is now available before a signature is approved.

The system’s text editor can convert numerals between Arabic and English formats, insert the Omani rial symbol, and adjust text size and colour. Users can also create, edit and format tables, while a font search option has been added.

The follow-up inbox now includes search, filtering and sorting tools. Users can search by user, department or subject, filter results using different criteria, and sort them by creation or modification date. Muscat Governorate said the changes would improve electronic document handling, support institutional performance and advance Oman’s digital transformation efforts under Oman Vision 2040.
