Musk's America PAC plans $100 million-plus effort to boost Republican turnout - report

Elon Musk's political action committee, America PAC, is gearing up for a significant financial push in the upcoming November congressional elections, planning to invest between $100 million and $120 million to energize Republican voters. This substantial expenditure positions the PAC as a major player in outside spending for the 2026 midterms, further solidifying Musk's influence within the Republican Party's funding landscape.

The PAC stated it anticipates playing a crucial role in the Republican voter turnout strategy, expressing confidence in the party's ability to maintain congressional control despite historical trends that typically favor the opposition during midterm cycles. The planned investment will target key areas such as door-to-door canvassing, digital advertisements, and direct mail campaigns aimed at mobilizing conservative voters.

This financial commitment comes at a time when Republicans reportedly face an enthusiasm gap compared to Democrats, who are vying for control of both chambers of Congress. With President Trump's public approval ratings reportedly declining and voter sentiment on the economy being less than favorable, Musk's substantial financial backing could provide a critical boost to the Republican effort to galvanize the electorate. The voting drive is slated to span at least eight states.

America PAC has already demonstrated its financial activity, having spent $52.3 million since the beginning of 2025, according to federal campaign finance filings. The super PAC has raised $50.3 million this cycle, with approximately $50 million originating directly from Musk. Super PACs are permitted to accept unlimited funds from individuals and corporations and can spend freely, provided they do not coordinate directly with candidates or campaigns.
