Nίστρουπ: “We are far from perfection”

Cyriel Dessers said the match presented a particular challenge after a European game and an away trip. He liked that Panathinaikos did not allow many chances, arguing that the most dangerous moments came after small mistakes. He also said the team had threatened in attack, hitting the post several times and coming close to scoring.

Dessers added that he has been happy to enter late and help the team by scoring and easing pressure. He credited the other forwards with wearing down defenses during the opening hour, creating opportunities for him or Elmin when they came on. Panathinaikos, he said, has four strong strikers and should continue using all of them.
