NAHCON approves five airlines for 2027 Hajj airlift

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has finalized its selection of five airlines to transport Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage. This decision follows a thorough evaluation process by NAHCON's Aviation Screening Committee, which assessed carriers based on regulatory safety standards, operational capabilities, and financial health.

The approved airlines are Air Peace Limited, Flynas, Max Air Limited, Saudi Air, and UMZA Aviation Services Limited. However, their official engagement is contingent upon the signing of specific airlift agreements with NAHCON and meeting all requirements set by both the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).

NAHCON emphasized that passenger allocations and flight schedules will be determined in collaboration with State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards and the selected airlines. The carriers must adhere to all regulations for the 2027 airlift, including issuing tickets linked to pilgrims’ Nusuk-Masar data and complying with baggage allowances. The commission urged all stakeholders to cooperate with the designated airlines to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey for pilgrims.
