Naryn resident voluntarily surrenders firearm during police operation

In the Naryn region of Kyrgyzstan, a local resident has voluntarily handed over a firearm to the authorities, contributing to efforts to curb illegal weapons.

The incident took place during a special preventative operation named "Arsenal." This operation involved police conducting checks in several villages within the Naryn district, including Kenesh, Alysh, Dobolu, Kaindy, and the Ak-Bulun area. The primary goal was to identify and address instances of illegal firearm storage.

During these checks, police verified the weapons of eight citizens who held permits for their firearms. Among them, a resident of Kaindy village, identified as M.B. and born in 1987, willingly surrendered his TOZ-34ER shotgun, a 12-gauge firearm.

In addition to the voluntary surrender, law enforcement also took action against another individual who had violated the regulations for storing firearms. A report was filed, and further measures are reportedly being taken concerning this violation.
