Nasarawa APC Urges Aspirants to Accept Primary Results, Try Again Later

The Nasarawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on aspirants who lost in the party's primary elections for the Doma South State constituency to accept the results and seek future opportunities. Augustine Ogaba, the party's Publicity Secretary, asserted that the State House of Assembly primaries were conducted peacefully, resulting in Musa Ibrahim's emergence as the candidate.

I want to use this opportunity to appeal to her and the other aspirants to accept the outcome of the primaries.

Ogaba's statement followed a rejection of the results by Ebu Onyawoyi-Beauty, a female aspirant for the Doma South seat. She cited irregularities and manipulation, alleging that election materials were not deployed to the constituency and results were fabricated. Onyawoyi-Beauty demanded the cancellation of the "fake results" and the conduct of a new, fair primary election, urging intervention from Governor Abdullahi Sule, the APC state chairman, and President Bola Tinubu.

As a party, we are all members of one family, so we should stand by each other and ensure that the party is more strengthened ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Appealing for unity, Ogaba stressed that the party is a family and should support each other to strengthen the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections. He reminded aspirants that the party constitution allows only one candidate per constituency for a four-year term. Onyawoyi-Beauty, however, insisted on a credible process that would allow the "popular candidate of the people" to emerge.

I am calling on the executive governor of Nasarawa State… to intervene in this matter. I am also calling on the national chairman of our great party, the APC, and the state chairman to cancel whatever fake results are being presented.
