Nashik BPO Employee Nida Khan Seeks Anticipatory Bail Amid Harassment Allegations

Nida Khan, an employee of a Tata Consultancy Services-linked BPO in Nashik, has sought anticipatory bail as allegations of sexual harassment and religious coercion swirl around her.

Khan, one of eight accused in the case, has been described by her defense lawyers as being falsely implicated. They assert that she has no prior criminal record and that the accusations, particularly those involving religious coercion and offending a Hindu deity, are baseless.

She has been falsely implicated in the case. She does not have any record of any kind of criminal activity.

Adding to the complexity of the situation, Khan's family has stated that she is pregnant and has moved to Mumbai to be with her husband, refuting claims that she is absconding. They maintain she was working at the company's Mumbai BPO until her suspension.

Meanwhile, a fact-finding team from the National Commission for Women (NCW) has begun its investigation into the case, which has expanded significantly from initial reports of workplace misconduct. The investigation aims to speak with all stakeholders to ascertain the facts surrounding the multiple complaints filed against employees at the Nashik BPO.
