Nasinu chasing historic Fiji FACT title

Nasinu FC enters the 2026 BIC Fiji FACT tournament with a strong determination to secure its maiden title. Dubbed the "Giant Killers," the team has a history of upsetting established football clubs in Fiji and aims to continue this tradition on the grand stage.

This year's campaign is particularly meaningful as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Nasinu Football Association, celebrating five decades of contribution to Fijian football. Despite facing the tournament without a major sponsor, the team remains focused on its preparations under head coach Abunesh Kapoor. Players, officials, and supporters are united in their goal to make history.

Nasinu's squad blends youthful talent with experienced players as they strive for a deep run in the competition. Placed in Group B, their opening match is against Lautoka on Friday at 1 p.m., followed by games against Nadroga on Saturday and Ba on Sunday. The "Giant Killers" acknowledge the significant challenges ahead but are resolute in their ambition to defy expectations and claim their first Fiji FACT championship.
