Natalie Portman gives birth to her third child

Natalie Portman has given birth to her third child with her current partner, music producer Tanguy Destable, People magazine reports.

The 45-year-old actress gave birth in Paris in August. She already has two children, Aleph, 15, and Amalia, 9, with her former husband, Benjamin Millepied.

Portman announced her pregnancy in April, saying she and Destable were “very excited” and that she felt deeply grateful. She also called the pregnancy “a great privilege and a miracle.”

The Marvel star said the experience had been more peaceful and that she valued each moment. “There is a calm and a knowledge of myself, knowing who I want to spend time with and what kind of energy I want around me, that makes the experience so beautiful every day,” she said. “And knowing that it will probably be the last time, I treasure every moment.”

Portman, who is of Israeli origin, has lived in France for several years. This summer, France named her a dame of the Legion of Honour, its entry-level rank.
