National Nutrition Agency dismisses 261 employees in 'clean-up' drive

The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has initiated a significant internal "clean-up" by dismissing 261 employees who were not civil servants. This move, announced Monday by the agency's new head, Sudaryono, targets widespread disciplinary violations within the organization.

Sudaryono, who also serves as the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, stated that the dismissals are a firm stance against misconduct. "Today we announce that as of today, we have terminated 261 non-civil servant employees, consisting of 224 non-civil servant employees and 37 expert staff," he said during a press conference at the BGN building.

The majority of those dismissed are cited for alleged disciplinary infractions and other unspecified violations. Beyond the non-civil servant staff, the agency has identified nine civil servants (ASN) and PPPK (government contract employees) who committed severe disciplinary offenses. These individuals are also likely to face termination.

Furthermore, 39 civil servants have been disciplined for minor infractions. They will face sanctions ranging from reassignment (mutasi) and demotion (demosi) to administrative warnings. Sudaryono emphasized that the agency will not hesitate to impose sanctions, including dismissal, on any employee found to be in violation of regulations.

We have processed findings of nine people committing severe or gross disciplinary violations, these are civil servants and PPPK, and it is highly likely that the concerned parties will be processed for dismissal.
