National Seal Keycap Keyrings Sell Out in Hours Amidst Viral Demand

A unique accessory inspired by Korea's national seals has taken the country by storm, with a product called the 'National Seal Keycap Keyring' selling out almost instantly. The overwhelming demand has led to a second restock of 2,000 units also selling out within just one hour on August 20.

The 'National Seal Keycap Keyring' set, part of the National Museum of Korea's official merchandise brand 'Muzs,' has garnered explosive popularity. The initial online sale and a subsequent restock both sold out completely before the latest batch of 2,000 units met the same fate within an hour of its release on August 20.

Each set is priced at 38,000 Korean won (approximately $28 USD), with a limit of one purchase per person. The keycap keyrings are crafted from metal and resin, faithfully recreating two significant national seals: 'Jego Jibo' and 'Danjong Bokwi Siho Geumbo.' These items are designed to be functional, usable either as a keycap for mechanical keyboards or as a decorative keychain.

Museum officials attribute the product's success to a growing public interest in Korean cultural heritage. The 'National Seal Keycap Keyring' was selected through the '2026 Muzs Contest.' The National Museum of Korea plans to continue selling a limited quantity of the set on weekends at its merchandise store in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
