National Union Nominates Sinica as Candidate for Vilnius Mayor

Vytautas Sinica has declared his candidacy for the position of Vilnius mayor, representing the National Union party. The announcement came during a press conference held at the Seimas (Lithuanian Parliament).

Sinica stated that a combination of factors, including favorable survey results and increasing support for the National Union, particularly for him as a potential mayoral candidate, influenced his decision. He also pointed to the concerns of Vilnius residents regarding issues that only his party addresses.

Considering these two factors – the survey results and the increased support for the National Union and specifically for me as a potential candidate for mayor, as well as the concerns of Vilnius residents about the issues that only we raise (...) there is not only an opportunity and a need, but also a certain responsibility to participate, of course, in the local elections.
