NDLEA uncovers 43,980 tramadol capsules hidden in fuel tanks

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted a significant quantity of tramadol capsules, uncovering 43,980 pills concealed within two large vehicle fuel tanks. This discovery highlights a sophisticated attempt at drug trafficking, according to an agency statement.

So a merchant of death travelled to Onitsha, Anambra State to buy the two big vehicle fuel tanks in this video not to sell or use in his vehicle but solely for the purpose of concealing illicit drugs.

Officials reported that the suspect had traveled to Onitsha, Anambra State, to acquire the fuel tanks. These were not intended for vehicle use or resale but were specifically repurposed to smuggle the illicit drugs. The suspect managed to transport the concealed consignment through multiple security checkpoints from Anambra State.

With 43,980 capsules of tramadol neatly stuffed in the fuel tanks he was able to beat security checks all the way from Anambra up to Wukari area of Taraba State where he was eventually arrested by #ndlea_nigeria officers who uncovered his lid.

The operation culminated in the suspect's arrest by NDLEA operatives in the Wukari area of Taraba State. The agency released a video documenting the moment the concealment was discovered, effectively ending the drug trafficking operation. The NDLEA emphasized the elaborate nature of the concealment, noting how the suspect evaded detection until reaching Taraba State.
